nga pala mga classmates and juniors. if magtitirahan tayo sa barko or sa lupa, let us keep it between ourselves. 'wag natin ikakalat sa mga AB na nakakasama natin or sa mga hindi taga MAAP. i havn't experience such pa pero sa kabila, sila-sila nagtitirahan. and sana sa mga seniors na may nakakasama ng junior sa barko, 'wag niyo kupalin... instead, tulungan ninyo lalo na kapag kailangan talaga ng tulong. again, sa kabila kasi natatanim sa isip ng mga junior na kupal and dun nagsisimula na masira ang camaraderie and respect for the seniors.

one more thing, let us no be so heretic na mas magaling tayo sa kung sino ang nakakasama natin na di taga MAAP. let us all say na lang na humbleness makes the enemy think they are superior than us, yet they will get surprised when the war is over...

Tama kau dyan sir..

to all deck officers...

ask ko lang sir paano nyo ginagawa ang monthly inspection ng portable fire extinguishers...kinikilo pa ba? or pinupukpok para malaman kung saan na ang level or kung may laman pa ba??? alin ba ang tama...? mayroon pa bang ibang means to conduct monthly inspection maliban sa visual checking hahaha lol!

syempre kasama na dito yung pag turn upside down ng dry powder.....

thanks in advance

Fire Extinguishers.

Post  rodriguez_03 on Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:48 pm

gements, depende kasi sa flagstate approval ninyo kung paano ang monthly service and/or inspection. pero sa SOLAS, dapat eh inaalog yun so as not to have the powder hardened due to moists. tsaka nire-relief din ang pressure nun kapag masyado mataas. make sure lang na ang temp sa environment eh di sobra taas. (tis applies to direct pressure powder extinguishers)

as per experience, merong types ng portable extinguishers na off shore which is more weather withstanding to use on deck than normal extinguisher.
