Which of the following is the worst job condition..

a. hot temperature in the engine room
b. lack of spares…need to fabricate
c. noisy officer too much talk not of any help, hirap un ah.
d. may kasama kang amoy sewage sa tabi mo habang nagtatrabaho. Amoy parang Mix of carbon remover and disc clean, that paralyzed all your senses.

for me its D, normal temperature sa engine room ang mainit db>..i’d better sweat out all the liquid in my body than to stand that kind of torture. Imagine maamoy mu palang ng konti sira na concentration mu…mainit na sa paligid mu…mainit na ang ulo mo,sira pa concentration mu sa trabaho….i wont cite any nationality pero grabeee iba ang amoy nia…its ok kung rating lang kase pede mu sabihin wash paint ka nalang dun sa malayo ung malayong malayo please(request un ha)….what if superior mu, pede mu ba sabihin “sir lumayo ka nga po muna, hihinga lang po ako” o kaya, “sir di mu ba alam nonconformity ka sa marpol VI, baka madetain tayo, unsafe ka para sa iba e”. Kaya mu ba mag gas mask lagi pag nagtatrabaho…di ba ang hirap…traumatic pa yun, everytime you flush your toilet,you remember him….funny????

MARPOL VI only pertains to SOX and NOX..so exempted yun...pero sa hazardous material hindi..so check your MSDS..baka may first aid pra un heheeheh

Thanks for your concern. First, my last statement is “funny?” hindi “Pani”. Salamat na rin sa PM. Technically you are right, included here are the emissions of SOx and NOx, but you forgot other substances like ozone depleting substances,etc. Marpol annex VI, generally, is about emission of vapours/gases with exception of emission necessary for the purpose of securing the safety of ship or saving life at sea.(I did my homework too, hehe). Nadetain na kami once, lack of supporting classed certificates for AE & ME SOx & NOx emission even though di kami ply sa mga Sox Emission controlled areas.
Anyways, kung kasama yun sa regulation ang dami na nadetain na barko…hehe. I quote “Subject to the provisions of regulation, any deliberate emissions of those substances shall be prohibited.
a) Those which either jeopardizes the safety of ships or adversely affects the performance of the machinery or,
b) is harmful to personnel, or
c) contributes overall to additional air pollution.

I also double check my MSDS…your right, my provisions din pala para dun.

Personal Precautions:
Restrict access to area as appropriate until oxygen level is safe to breath. Ventilate area if possible.

Environmental Precaution:
Prevent the subject from entering sewer or waterways.

Hygiene Recommendations:
Use clean clothing and personal hygiene practices to avoid exposure. Keep a safety shower available. If clothing is contaminated, remove clothing and thoroughly wash the affected area. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. When in the presence of the subject, never eat, drink or inhale.
