napatanong ako s isang 3rd class about s liberty...e anak ng @%$#^*&&% in short pating e cnagot nga ako ng eyebrow...kupalin ko sana kaso naicp ko lng e ayaw ko masira pagdalaw ko dun and that time kaso ko wifey ko...

sir, i believe this is serious topic to be talked about.. small things pero it reflects to big things.. i mean, hndi xa dpt pinapawalang bhla coz it's not a good culture..

i remember, and turo stn nang nsa loob pa.. we have to render or show respect kht kaninong tao.. this mdn that u encountered might not know na alumnus kau.. but it's not an excuse.. kasi how i remember, maski janitor at guard (dati.. ewan nlng now) we addressed them sir..

ano na ang nangyari sa mdn fleet?? is there anyway to correct this act?? kung mdn plng eh gnon na ang attitude.. what more pglabas na ng academy.. i am just so sad to know about this..

Kaya hindi natin talaga masisisi ang mga Instructors natin kung bakit sila nag aalisan. Marami akong nakakasalubong na former instructors natin sa NTC, BSM, MARINA etc. and iisa lang talaga ang comment nila sa attitudes nang recent batch....es. I'm really very sorry for saying this pero sabi nga, there has to be something done. Pero wala pa sa atin ang may Powers yet to do something about it.

what I think is this is not a joke,its a total manifestation of the rotting attitude and morals of the ones inside. I can still remember when i was still a fourthclass that if a person no matter who it is,will ask a question from a distance, i would still have to really go near him in order to hear his question clearly and respond appropriately. I cant even just nod to affirm just to go on with my business.

this is rottness in its highest form that if not eliminated will spread and eventually destroy everything.

Yup, these attitudes not only reflect ones own upbringing with regards to their training in MAAP, but also to the whole system itself... Others (outside MAAP) wouldn't care ano man yan nangyayari sa loob, basta - What they see will be what they think of the whole MAAP family...

Nakakainis nga mga DUX kasi tulad niyan pagpunta ko sa office (agency), bigla ba nman ako nilapitan ng Fleet Manager sinabihan ako ano daw nanyayari sa mga juniors ko at mukhang di na nila nasusunod mga standards na sinet ng MAAP with regards to training and attitude.. Akalain ba naman 9months na sa barko tapos hindi man lng nagawa ung TRB at yung company working sheet..

Simply shows na kung ano man mga pinag-gagawa nila sa MAAP, puro 'for-compliance' lng talaga...

Im planning a week long activity between the Alumni and the graduating Batch, the week before Graduation. ( Parang isang welcome to the real world, talks about the maritime industry, health, decorum, how to carry themselves, customs and traditions, and just plain talk, down the Long Blue Line. )

Or we could schedule it anytime, basta mahalaga makita tayo dito. Alam q maraming Dux ang di pa uli nkakatapak ng MAAP since they graduated. and they have their reasons. But for those sa nkakamiss sa sacred grounds ng MAAP (made sacred by our SBT-sweat, blood, tears both of loss and Triumph).... please stand up.

Naiisip q n maraming chance na maging resource speaker ang mga Alumni, gawa tau ng event something like "the world outside MAAP", so that the Alumni will be felt, seen, and communicating with the midshipmen the real life onboard at kung pano makisama sa maritime industry (at kung bakit di ka pwedeng "magtake life" sa barko lalo na on safety and pollution.) its time WE marinate our younger Dux.

Time is of the essence dux... I know at this very moment we have seen this things... but given the task are we sure we can handle the situation properly? I dont say we cant and neither say we can... But what is evident is that we must focus on our careers and together start uniting in one common purpose... Sir I agree with the seminar between alumni and the graduating class, it will be a good eye opener of what the real world is. I remember what LCDR. Elchico once said,"The real world is much harsher than the world inside MAAP." At first I didnt give a thing about this then but now I know.

But what I'm thinking Sir is,why not hold also a seminar towards the 4thclassmen. In order to kill the weeds you have to pull out the roots. Cutting only the blade will just delay the growth. This holds true in this particular topic.They should know that what the academy is teaching them is essential on what holds in their future..minimal but essential.

Sir kung may activity na ganun na ibrief natin ang 4th class willing ako mag pep talk sa kanila... medyo alarming na an ganitong situation.. anu na lang ang mangyayari sa atin kung ang mag susunod sa atin ay medyo kinulang sa paghihigpit anyway... looking forward for a change sa mga susunod pa... i support kung ano man ang hakbang ng alumni..

i believe, being an alumni, our moves as a society is not merely a privilege anymore.. it's an obligation (in my opinion..) kaya feds, our commentaries & observations is the good start for us to take actions in the near future.. right?

Hmm.. re phrase natin.. bakit di natin tanggalin sa pagiging miyembro ng alumni ang mga ganung cadet? pero ganun pa rin ata kasi baligtarin man natin ang mundo graduate pa rin siya ng maap... natatandaan ko lagi sinasabi ng seniors noon maging pasaway ka na sa maap wag lang sa labas ng maap.... so dito na natin iapply yun term na yun... sana professionalism ang pairalin natin saka dapat yung mga respect andun pa rin, may narinig ako na junior nakita na nakatayo ang senior nya di man lang inalok ng sit, alarming na ang ganun.... at sana din pag may di nagkakaintindihan na alumni ayusin nila ng maaga para di naman masira ang magagandang pagsasamahan ng mga alumni hehehe comment lang po..
