The Return

Greetings, all Dux!
It has been a couple of months that I (and VP Engr. Tolentino) was/were seemingly inactive in managing our Society. For those who are uninformed, VADM Santos requested our assistance to revamp our memorable Training Ship Kapitan Felix Oca and develop a training program that will provide Total Shipboard Training for all boarding cadets.
I’m glad and proud to announce that our efforts, assisted by Capt. Torres, 3/O Navarro (05), 3/E Legaspi (05) 4/E Deocampo (05) and later with 3/O Apachecha (03) resulted in resounding success! It proves that collaborative efforts between graduates can indeed achieve one of our missions: Raising the Maritime Industry as a Whole. The Japanese sponsors are “overly impressed and deeply satisfied”.
Now that the program ended, together with VP Engr. Tolentino, will continue the normal operations of our Society and pursue ongoing/incoming projects, programs and activities. From the 1st Issue of our alumni magazine (The Lighthouse), we have four (4) ongoing projects and two (2) incoming projects. Please check relevant sections for each.
Up to this point, we accomplished four (4) projects. I send my gratitude to all who continually support our Society. It could have been terribly difficult to finish all those projects without your concern and involvement. Optimistically, we will push and finish a couple of projects more before this year will end. I, and the rest of the Board, will again count on each and every one of you.
